Route Reading (October 21st 6pm-8pm)
Route reading, and planning your sequence on the ground before you start climbing, is an often overlooked skill in climbing. Learning how to analyse a climb properly, before and after attempting it, will help you climb better and save energy. We’ll look at how to plan the most efficient way to do a climb for each individual, and how to re-assess and adjust after making an attempt. Improving your route reading will develop your ability to think of alterative betas and different ways to approach a climb that might otherwise feel out of your limit.
Aimed at people climbing between V2-V6, this is a 2 hour workshop for groups of up to 6 people
Fear of Falling: (November 11th - 6pm-8:30pm)
Worrying about falling, and struggling to commit to moves high on the wall can often hold us back when we start climbing. It can make us feel tired, or even ashamed. However, once we understand the fear and anxiety, we can start to conquer it. Together, we will look into not just methods of staying calm and how to fall in the safest way possible, but also the psychology of fear, and why our body reacts the way it does. Understanding why we react the way we do, can help alleviate the pressure we put on ourselves when we feel afraid. Ultimately, this will allow us to expand our comfort zone, and improve our mindset.
Aimed at people climbing between V0-V5, this is a 2.5 hour workshop for groups of up to 6 people
A bit about Sachit:
I’ve been climbing for over a decade, and coaching around 6 years in bouldering, sport and trad. I have developed an understanding of the four key elements of climbing - Technical, Tactical, Physical, and Mental, and am keen to help coach anyone who needs guidance in any of these areas.
Over the years I built a solid foundation in the technical aspects of climbing, along with picking up plenty of tips and tricks along the way! Recently, I’ve been developing my knowledge of physical exercises and how to engage the muscles efficiently during moves. I have also been studying the psychology of climbing, and used this knowledge to improve my own mentality on difficult routes. Having spent so long developing my skills, I would love to share my knowledge and experience to help you learn and grow as much as possible!
