Footwork:
In this footwork crash course, we’ll look at an overview into the major and minor ways footwork can affect your climbing. The way we place and use our feet is often overlooked, as our upper body tends to take most of our focus. However, precise footwork can be the difference between struggling through a route and running out of energy by the end, or smoothly flowing though. In this general overview, we’ll personalise the techniques we teach you, and pick out the ones that will make the most difference to your current climbing. Come along and stop making the classic mistake of desperately reaching up, when you should be looking down!
Aimed at people climbing V0-V3, this is a 2 hour workshop for groups of up to 6 people
Dealing with Fear:
Worrying about falling, and struggling to commit to moves high on the wall can often hold us back when we start climbing. It can make us feel tired, or even ashamed. However, once we understand the fear and anxiety, we can start to conquer it. Together, we will look into not just methods of staying calm and how to fall in the safest way possible, but also the psychology of fear, and why our body reacts the way it does. Understanding why we react the way we do, can help alleviate the pressure we put on ourselves when we feel afraid. Ultimately, this will allow us to expand our comfort zone, and improve our mindset.
Aimed at people climbing between V0-V5, this is a 3 hour workshop for groups of up to 6 people
Projecting:
If you’re looking to break into a new grade, or just feel like you’ve plateaued, learning how to project a climb is essential. It means more than just trying a climb multiple times. There are a myriad of tips, tricks and mindset shifts which can turn a set of demoralising attempts at a route, into tangible progress where we have honed and improved our skills. We will examine everything from route reading, and how to structure your session around a project, into breaking out of old habits and movement patterns. Combining these elements together will allow you to project with confidence and push your limits!
Aimed at people climbing V4+, this is a 2 hour workshop for groups of up to 6 people
A bit about Sachit:
I’ve been climbing for over a decade, and coaching around 6 years in bouldering, sport and trad. I have developed an understanding of the four key elements of climbing - Technical, Tactical, Physical, and Mental, and am keen to help coach anyone who needs guidance in any of these areas.
Over the years I built a solid foundation in the technical aspects of climbing, along with picking up plenty of tips and tricks along the way! Recently, I’ve been developing my knowledge of physical exercises and how to engage the muscles efficiently during moves. I have also been studying the psychology of climbing, and used this knowledge to improve my own mentality on difficult routes. Having spent so long developing my skills, I would love to share my knowledge and experience to help you learn and grow as much as possible!
