Hit a plateau? We all go through this whatever your level.
Our Bouldering Beyond Basics is for anyone who is beyond our Foundations and want to push their grade further, currently in the V2-V4 level.
Week 1:
Route Reading - Here we’ll look at planning our moves in advance. This session is focused on developing tools to predict our sequence of hand and feet movement. By working on this skill, we minimise attempts on the route, and save energy allowing us to climb harder routes, and more routes in a session.
Week 2:
Footwork - Building upon our Foundations footwork session, we will delve deeper into how to use our feet to create body tension, take the weight of our arms, and move more efficiently.
Week 3:
Projecting - Learning how to break down a route, which would initially seem too difficult for you, is a key skill in breaking plateaus. Repeatedly attempting a route without a plan or proper reflection, is likely to leave us frustrated and demotivated. Developing the right analytical mindset, and working on our weaknesses while leveraging our strengths are all key concepts needed to push our grade, and enjoy our climbing.
90 Minutes per session, one session each week.
Free rental shoes if needed.
