Event Information
Our Improvers course is perfect for anyone climbing V5+, who is looking to identify what areas they need to to focus on to improve their climbing even further. Over 3 weeks we will not only evaluate what has helped you get to this level, but what minor and major changes are needed to propel you even further. As it is a high level course, our sessions and feedback will be much more personalised and demanding than our other coaching sessions.
Week 1:
Strengths and Weaknesses - Our first priority is to identify your major strengths and weaknesses, in terms of the physical, mental, tactical, and technical skills needed to climb problems at or above your limit. We can use our analysis to come up with a plan for how to target your weaknesses and accentuate your strengths in the following weeks.
Week 2:
Tactics - An often overlooked aspect of climbing are the many minor adjustments we can make, which give us enough of an advantage to climb problems currently just beyond our reach. This goes beyond route reading into a myriad of tips and tricks which you may have overlooked.
Week 3:
Structuring a session - Break out of the habit of turning up to the wall and aimlessly trying any route that catches your eye. Having a plan in mind, and preparing for a particular problem or type of session will result in much better performance, both long term and short term.
